Remembrance Room Vukovar Hospital

This remembrance room commemorates the patients, civilians and hospital staff who were taken together from the hospital to Ovčara on 18 November 1991. Two days later, 200 of them were murdered and buried in a mass grave.
The crater on the ceiling, where a JNA shell fell but miraculously did not explode, was left unrepaired to show what damage was done. In the basement of the hospital, which is still in use, is also a general exhibition about the Homeland War and the Battle of Vukovar and a reconstruction of the use of the hospital in that era.
