15TH MOTOR GUN BOAT FLOTILLA
OF THE ROYAL NAVY
KINGSWEAR 1942 TO 1944

THIS FLOTILLA CARRIED OUT
CLANDESTINE OPERATIONS FROM THE
DART TO NORTHERN BRITTANY FROM
1942 TO 1944, WORKING CLOSELY
WITH THE FRENCH RESISTANCE.
IT LANDED OR BROUGHT BACK MANY BRAVE BRITISH AND
ALLIED AGENTS AND ALSO BROUGHT
BACK MANY ALLIED AIRMEN SHOT
DOWN OVER EUROPE.
MGB 502 WAS SUNK OFF NORWAY
ON 12 MAY 1945: THERE WERE
ONLY TWO SURVIVORS.
