Memorial Ramón Rubial Cavia

Ramón Rubial Cavia (1906-1999) was a Spanish socialist leader in the Basque Country and in Spain. In 1934 he was arrested and sentenced to prison due to revolutionary activities. During the Spanish Civil War, he fought defending the Second Spanish Republic. He was captured in 1937 and sentenced to 30 years in prison. He was released in 1956 and again became politically active.
