German War Graves Göttingen

Alter Stadtfriedhof Göttingen contains a military plot with German war graves from the Second World War. Most of the soldiers buried here, fell in April 1945 in the region of Göttingen.

The Nazi-period gravestone of Flugzeugführer Unteroffizier Willi (Wilhelm) Strube (25.01.1940) can be found among the much smaller post-war gravestones. The stone has a large Flugzeugführerabzeichen (its swastika removed after the war) engraved on it.
