Memorial Heinrich Grüber

This plaque commemorates Heinrich Grüber. In this house, he had an office to help the persecuted. In 1940 he was arrested and the office was closed.

From 1940 to 1943, he was imprisoned in several concentration camps. There he also helped Jews and prisoners from the Netherland and Flanders. He was beaten and suffered from several heart-attacks. He was released after a lobby of important persons in industry.

After the war, he was awarded many times. He was awarded by Yad Vashem as Righteous among the Nations. He also was awarded by the Dutch queen Juliana as Commander in the Order of Oranje-Nassau.
