Soviet War Cemetery Dolyna

This memorial is dedicated to 1800 Red Army soldiers and officers who fell at the fighting for this village. They are buried in a mass grave above the memorial, which can be reached via the opening in the wall. The inscription on both sides of the entrance can be translated as follows:

"Eternal glory to the soldiers of the Soviet army who fell at the fighting during the Great Patriotic War for the liberation of the village Dolyna in 1941-1943."

and

"He lies here
Without name
He will not stand up
He will not remember

But we remember
Not only these slopes -
The whole world
Owes her debt to his courage"
