Memorial Rogovė Massacre

After a Serbian policeman was killed in a gunfight, the village of Rogovė was surrounded by the Serbian police on 29 January 1999 and shut down from the outside world.

After they had left, the bodies of 24 killed ethnic Albenese were found around this location, three of them in this riddled van. Weapons were found near the bodies, but it was striking that there were fewer weapons than victims. However, 18 of the victims turned out to be members of the UĒK.
