War Memorial Fortified church Cisnădioara

At the top of the fortified church in Chisnădiora there is a memorial site for German and Hungarian soldiers who fell during the First World War in September 1916 during the Battle of Sibiu and the Battle of Turnu Rosu.
There is also the cross of Lieutenant Von Steinsdorf who fell in Sălătrucu during the fighting in the Carpathians to circumvent the Turnu Rosu and push it through to Curtea de Argeș. Von Steinsdorf was a lieutenant in the Königlich Bayerische Infanterie Leib Regiment.
This regiment was part of the Alpenkorps from May 1915.
