Memorial Executed American Airmen Saint-Rémy

Monument in memory of eight American airmen who were shot by the Germans in the forest of Saint-Remy on 22 April 1944.

* B-17 'Susan Ruth', crashed at Macquenoise (B)
Lt. EIKE Georges, aged 23
2nd Lt. BENNINGER Robert, aged 21
Sgt. PINDROCH John, aged 21
* B-17 'Skunkface', crashed at Lens (F)
2nd Lt. HUISH William, 24 years old

The monument also commemorates two fallen resistance fighters: FONTAINE Henri AND SIMON Joseph.
