Kühlewein Fontain Vilcey-sur-Trey

The German army camp near Vilcey-sur-Trey was built after the fighting in Bois le Pretre in 1915.
It is a camp behind the front line, situated in the woods on a slope.
Protected from aerial surveillance and artillery fire.
The Kühlewein fountain was built in 1915-1916.
It is named after Lieutenant von Kühlewein, commander of a company of Brigade Erzatsbataljon No. 80.
The fountain was built by the 369th Infantry Regiment.
