Hauptfriedhof (Südfriedhof) Saarbrücken

The large main cemetery of Saarbrücken was founded in 1914. The cemetery acted then only as a war cemetery for the victims of the First World War. After a few years they also allowed citizens to be buried here so it became a public cemetery.

Over ten sites with monuments and grave sites of victims and veterans of different wars and different nationalities can be found. There are graves from the Franco-Prussian War, World War I and World War II.
