King's Badge

The King’s Badge was authorised by the Ministry of Pensions and issued to servicemen wounded and discharged from armed service. The King’s Badge was instigated in the early stages of the war and by the end of 1941 over 8,000 had been awarded to members of the British Armed Forces and Merchant Navy.
The badge states FOR LOYAL SERVICE and displays the royal cipher of King George VI.
