Germany (1945-1989, People's Republic)

The German Democratic Republic was formed in 1947 after the Second World War, Germany was devided into an Eastern part (East Germany or German Democratic Republic) part and a Western part (West Germany of Federal Republic of Germany). The German Democratic Republic was then occupied by the Soviet Union. When the Communist Block in Europe fell apart, the two Germany's were reunited in 1990 and the Federal Republic of Germany formed a new European state.

Between the dviding of the two Germany's and the reuniting in 1990 some decorations were constructed and awarded in relation to the Second World War.
