It was almost unbelievable that the vast single span road bridge 2,000ft long should fall into our hands unblown most especially as it was firmly held both ends by the Huns. HQ 2 H.C.R. remained at MALDEN though HQ 5 Gds Armd Bde moved up to and later the next day across the WAAL. |
