A bn 159 Inf Bde was being sent up to clear the area and capture the vital sluice gates, assisted by sqn 3 R Tks and coy 8 RB. Owing to delay in getting the inf bn up and to a fair amount of enemy opposition this op was not carried our until 5 Sep. Sqn 3 R Tks and coy 8 RB remained in the dock area night 4/5 Sep. |
