COURSEL 15   HQ and 218 Det moved to COURSEL in BELGIUM.
16   217 Det rejoined 8 Corps and moved to LINDE K4080.
LINDE 17   HQ moved to LINDE K4080.
17 1600 3 Div reported civilian movement through FDLs. Wanted CA to help to check. Limitations of Dets explained. 218 instructed to move to 3 Div. Local resistance established control posts under supervision of 218 Det and checked all civilians on roads.
18   SCAO (Col G.H. Phipps-Hornby) and SO1A (Lt.Col. R.S. Manley) visited Second Army CA.
18 1345 Major Stok and Capt Rhuys (Dutch adm officers) reported. Capt Rhuys sent to 218 Det.
18 2100 224 Det reported and camped in same area as HQ.
20   217 Det moved to join Main HQ 11 Armd Div.
EXEL 21   HQ moved to EXEL 374875.
E4302 22   HQ and 224 Det moved to area Convent at E4302.
23 1100 SCAO and SO1 (A) visited HAMONT and WEERT and saw the two Burgomasters.
23 1600 SO1E (Lt.Col. A.W.E. Crawford) visited 218 Det at BUDEL.
GELDROP 24   HQ and 224 Det moved to GELDROP E4916.
25   SCAO visited 203 (A) Det at EINDHOVEN to discuss areas of responsibilty. 203 Det not able to say.
26   SCAO and SO1A visited Second Army to discuss hand over arrangements for HOLLAND internal affairs and future policy for MG in GERMANY.
26   Col Thorne-Thorne (SCAO Airborne Corps) visited this HQ to discuss bdys within HOLLAND for which he was responsible. SO1E visited 12 Corps and 30 Corps and arranged for 8 Corps to take over 30 Corps area up to 12 Corps bdy and as far north an R MEUSE. All of BELGIUM to be handed to Army.
26   SO2A (Major D.J. Mitchell) visited HELMOND ref labour position.
27 1045 SO2A discussed question of skilled labour for Pavé laying with RE rep.
27   Arranged with Burgomaster GELDROP for labour to be available.
27 1600 SO1A and SO2E (Major W.L. Brown) visited 203 Det at EINDHOVEN.
28   SCAO visited 217 and 218 Dets.
28 1200 SO1E visited 203 Det and clarified position of Det with regard to 8 and 12 Corps areas.
28 1400 SCAO (Airborne Corps) visited this HQ to see whether area responsibility was satisfactory.
28 1530 SCAO 12 Corps visited this HQ and discussed Corps bdy. Decided that present bdy would remain for CA even if op bdy changed.
29 1000 SCAO 12 Corps visited HQ ref bdys. Decided with SCAO to conform to op bdy. 203, 304 and 525 (DP) Dets revert to comd 12 Corps.
29 1600 Reps of SHAEF CA Mission to NETHERLANDS visited this HQ.
30 1230 Brig Cazenove (SHAEF CA Mission to NETHERLANDS) visited HQ.
30 1400 SCAO Airborne Corps visited HQ to make sure that bdys were satisfactory.
