North-West Europe 1-31   Mail arrivals normal except as otherwise stated. When mails not received it is due to the fact that they were not available at either Corps or Army Postal Units.
1   10 0.Rs loaned to this Unit from other arms of the service within the Division to assist with Army Mails during the Xmas pressure period 1 - 31 Dec. 2 - 3 Ton vehicles with drivers on detail from 23 Coy. R.A.S.C. for the same purpose.
2   Services normal.
3   All private outgoing mail (unregistered) from 3 Br Inf Division diverted to Base Censor.
4-5   Services normal.
6   New service commenced. Two 3 ton vehicles to report ArmyPostal Unit, Burg Leopold to haul surface mail direct to the Divisional Postal Unit, bypassing Corps Postal Unit.This service to run untill 31 December 1944. All private outgoing mail (unregistered) diverted to Base Censor.
7-11   Services normal.
12   This Unit moved to area GEMERT with 3 Br Inf Division.
13   Services normal.
14-15   No Air Mail or newspapers received.
16   Three days airmail received and newspapers published 14 December 1944.
17   No Air Lift or newspapers.
18   Two days air mail received and one days newspapers.
19   Services normal.
20   This Unit moved to area DEURNE with 3 Br Inf Division. Newspapers dated 13th received by surface mail.
21-22   No airmail or newspapers received.
23   Four days air mail received plus newspapers dated 16th and 22nd. All disposed of satisfactorily.
24   Mail arrivals normal.
25   Mail arrivals normal, newspapers dated 19th received in addition.
26   Surface mail only received.
27   Surface mail only received. Traffic accident reported involving Cpl Furnell (injured) and Spr Buckingham (removed to 7 F.D.S. suffering from injury to shoulder and two fractured ribs). Accident occurred on road VENRAY - HORST. Vehicle no. Z5343212 beyond repair, replacement requested.
28-29   Surface mail only received.
30   Four days air mail and newspapers dated 28th received and disposed satisfactorily.
31   7 0.Rs. of the quota received on loan from other arms of service within the Division R.T.U.
