Operation Beneficiary

Allied air drop that was planned in June or early July 1944. This airborne operation was to be carried out by the British 1st Airborne Division, the 1st Polish Independent Parachute Brigade, the SAS and some American airborne units. This operation was to support the American 20th Army Corps. The 20th army corps would take the city of St.Malo, France, supported by air forces and the navy. The operation was cancelled because agreement om the deployment of the navy could not be reached.
