Also called the battle in the Strait of Malacca. A British operation intended to track down and eliminate the Japanese heavy cruiser Haguro. The Haguro served as supply ship for Japanese garrisons in the Dutch East Indies and the Gulf of Bengal. May 15th to 16th, 1945.
