Jhr. Hubert Paul Clement de Stuers, born September 16, 1901 in Karang Anjer (Java). Employé Bataafsche Petroleum Maatschappij (B.P.M.) in Surabaya. Ls.Sld.Inf. in the KNIL. He was captured on March 9, 1942 and after a number of internment camps he was transferred to the Soengei Gerong internment camp in Palembang (South Sumatra) where he died on February 15, 1945 of chronic enteritis.
