Killed in action on 17 December 1942 when his Lancaster ED333 was attacked by a German night fighter during a mission to Neustadtam Rübenberge and crashed in Tollebeek, now part of the municipality of Urk in the Noordoostpolder. Glyn Bull's body was found immediately after the crash and buried at the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats cemetery in Amsterdam.
The crash site is marked by a memorial pole. More than a kilometre away, the crew is commemorated by a monument in the new Zeehelden neighbourhood, where streets are also named after the crew.
