Biography

During World War II, Carol Victor served as a German army officer in Romania. In late 1941, concerns arose that Germany might use him to rally Albanians in occupied Kosovo, alarming Mussolini’s Foreign Minister, Count Ciano. He feared a new Albanian state under Carol Victor, loyal to Hitler, but Germany dismissed these claims. Carol Victor later served in the 44th Infantry Division during the Battles of Cassino.
