Hendrik, a civil servant at the municipal secretariat, marries Nieske Heikens on 25 November 1927. He was a member of the LO and distributed ration cards and identity cards. Forged the card system of the Midwolde municipality and removed posters from the town hall. He was detained in Vucht for six months and was then released. On 10 May 1944 he was arrested for the second time and now by the NSB mayor Hovinga. On 8 September he is deported to Sachsenhausen. He dies on 23 April 1945 due to the hardships in the cam
