Grady Glenn Hunt was the son of Grady Thomas Hunt and Sallie Elizabeth Williams of Denton, NC. Pilot of B-24 42-63969. Shot down over the IJsselmeer (Netherlands) on his way back from a mission to Osnabruck. His body washed up near Makkum six months after the crash and he was buried there on 23 June 1944. After positive identification, he was reburied in Denton, Davidson County, North Carolina, in 1949.
