Biography

Lieutenant General Ahmad Amir-Ahmadi (1884–1965) was an Iranian military leader and cabinet minister. Born in Isfahan to an aristocratic family, he was a key figure in the coup that brought Reza Pahlavi to power. He became the first to hold the rank of "sepahbod" under Reza Shah and sought a more democratic Iran, though he believed British influence prevented it.

Amir-Ahmadi served as Minister of War and Interior in various cabinets, held key military positions, and later became a senator. He played a major role in suppressing Luri revolts in the 1920s and 1930s. Respected and feared by Reza Shah, he passed away from cancer in 1965.
