Biography

Squadron Leader Fred Burpee Curry (C/993), Royal Canadian Air Force, served with 115 Bomber Reconnaissance Squadron at Annette Island, Alaska. He died when his Norseman IV (#2481) crashed into the sea near Warburton Island during a snow squall while transporting U.S.O. performers. All onboard perished.

Curry is commemorated on Page 150 of Canada's Second World War Book of Remembrance. Formerly of Toronto, he was the son of Fred Burpee Curry and husband of Mrs. F.B. Curry.
