Biography

Fernand Machenaud was a resistance leader in the Secret Army (AS) and United Resistance Movements (MUR). On June 15, 1944, German forces and militia captured him, his brother Louis, his son Loulou (17), and café owner Joseph Petit in Puisots near Annecy. They were tied down and burned alive as their homes were set ablaze.
