Biography

Olivier Bernard is mentioned on the Frankton memorial at Alrewas as one of the French civilians who helped the RM commandos during or immediately after Operation Frankton. He was a boy during Operation Frankton when he came across two starving RM commandos: Hasler and Sparks. Bernard called in a schoolmaster and the two Britons were helped shortly afterwards.
