Biography

Joseph Gagnerot was a French collaborator who betrayed a large number of French resistance fighters. He also betrayed two British RM commandos (Laver and Mills). Both Britons did not survive the war. During the liberation of France, in August 1944, Gagnerot was arrested by the French gendarmerie and taken to the headquarters of the Gironde maquis in Reignac. There, Gagnerot was summarily executed.
