Biography

Van Nispen, son of mayor Otto Jan Marie van Nispen tot Pannerden and Clara baroness van Hövell tot Westerflier, married Walburgis van Grotenhuis van Onstein in 1961 and had a daughter. Board member and later chairman of the Van Nispen family association.

He was educated at Kunstoefening in Arnhem and studied with J.H.E. Schilling. As a versatile artist he worked with enamel, glass, mosaic and drawings. One of his creations was the Memorial Window Liberation 1940-1945 in Wageningen.

Van Nispen was also deputy mayor/alderman of Renkum and coadjutor of the Sovereign and Military Order of Malta, Netherlands department. Van Nispen rests at the Roman Catholic cemetery in Doorweth.

In addition to his mentioned distinctions, Van Nispen was also honored with the 'Gouden Stuiver' in 1979.
