Biography

Assuerus Antonius Joannes Arcadius Copier was a member of the NBS and after the German capitulation worked in Fort Honswijk. He guarded German prisoners, who had to dismantle ammunition. Copier died when Jacobus Ammerdorffer (the executioner of Amersfoort) committed suicide with a landmine on 25 August 1945. Copier is buried at the Roman Catholic cemetery in Schalkwijk.
