- Period:

- Rank:
- Lieutenant-Colonel (Lieutenant colonel)
Head of the French 5e Bureau
Lt-Colonel LABADIE came to France soon after D-Day as Chief of the detachment of Securité Militaire aux Armées with the 21st Army Group. He was thus one of the first French Officers to wield security authority in France under the general policies of Supreme Headquarters AEF. During the early days of the Normandy landings his judgement, tact and firmness in wielding this authority was of great value to the Allies.
After serving with 21st Army Group, Lt-Col LABADIE was in November 1944 appointed Chief of the Cinquieme Bureau of the French Ministry of War. As such he played an important part in the smooth and effective round up of enemy agents in France. Allied security personnel who have come in touch with Lt-Col LABADIE all praise his efficient and untiring wok and acknowledge how much they have benefited from his tact and good humour at all times, and his ability and knowledge of local security requirements."
