Dr. Werner Schröder joined the NSDAP in 1933. He was also a member of the Schutzstaffel (SS). From 1940 to 1943, he was Reich Commissioner Seyss-Inquart's representative for the province of Overijssel, from 1942 onwards he was the representative for Amsterdam, and from 1943 onwards he was also the representative for the province of North Holland. He likely returned to Germany in 1946.
