Biography

As a student, he refused to sign the loyalty declaration and was sent to work in a hospital in Austria along with Oeds Brouwer. He died there of typhoid fever on March 6, 1944. He was temporarily buried in the Vogel family plot in Stockerau. He was reburied in the Netherlands in 1947.
