Biography

Unteroffizier Fenske was first the personal driver of German General Müller and later that of Kreiper. When the latter was kidnapped by an SOE team on Crete, Fenske was beaten unconscious with a truncheon by Captain Moss. The wounded driver was later murdered by a group of Greek resistance fighters. The original plan was to kidnap both the general and his driver.

He left behind a wife and a small child.

Moss's baton can be seen at the Imperial War Museum London.
