Biography

Pierrette Louin joined the Women's Signal Corps (CFT) and participated in the Tunisian campaign. With her three other comrades, Marie-Louise Cloarec, Eugénie Djendi and Suzanne Mertzizen, she was asked in the fall of 1943 to join the counter-espionage services of Colonel Paillole in Algiers (SSMF-TR). After training as a radio operator and parachutist, she went to England on March 20, 1943 and volunteered to carry out a mission for the BCRA. Parachuted into occupied France in early April, she was arrested on April 27. Interrogated by German police, she refused to divulge her information and was deported to the Ravensbrück camp where she found her three comrades from the CFT. They were executed together on January 18, 1945.
