Frank "Buzz" Perkins was a private in the British Army and an SOE agent during World War II. At 17, he was the youngest crew member of the Maid Honor during its voyage to Equatorial West Africa in 1941. Perkins participated in Operation Postmaster. After the war, Perkins became secretary of the New Zealand Grand Prix Association and a sports promoter.
