    "Brigadier Suttie was in charge of the Den Helder sector of Holland during the evacuation of the German 25th Army. He was responsible for removing and searching all German prisoners across the Zuider Zee into Northern Holland. Brigadier Suttie performed his duties in a most satisfactory way, and was responsible for recovering from the Germans a considerable amount of loot which was subsequently handed back to the Dutch authorities.
    By his zealous and energetic action, the whole of the 25th Germany Army was evacuated through his sector out of Holland within a period of a few weeks."
