“Leutnant Corts has distinguished himself on several occasions through his courageous and fearless disposition. He produced an example of extraordinary bravery during the defensive battles before Abbeville. During the fluid combat at the bridgehead he and a handful of hastily assembled fighters held the foremost line in a display of bitter resistance and heroic endurance. His tireless readiness for duty here contributed to the ability of our forces to achieve victory and prevent the enemy’s intended breakthrough.”
