Biography

Son of Arie Bosman (1868-1943) and Cornelia de Boer (1869-1938) and married to Maartje Niemantsverdriet. By profession Smit (or according to OGS file Radio dealer) and member of the voluntary fire brigade. After a report of a fire, the fire brigade rushed out with the engine fire engine to Waalhaven airport. There, while putting out the fire, the engine fire engine received a direct hit during a bombardment in which Arie Bosman was seriously injured and died a day later. He was buried in Charlois Christian Cemetery. His grave was exhumed in 1968.
