Biography

Cornelis van de Sluijs was born on 7th September 1885 as son of Pieter van der Sluijs and Gerritje Keuvelaar and was owner of a painter buisiness in Rotterdam. He married Pietje Niemandsverdriet on 5th August 1909.
On 29th September 1914 he was appointed to Volunteer Policeman of Vrijwillige Politie, Sectie No. 20, Patrouille C, Post Charlois, Rotterdam. Besides this he als was Section Head of Vrijwillige Brandweer, Spuit No. 43, Grondherenstraat Charlois.
