As a General Staff Officer, in the Liaison and Munitions Branch of the British War Office in London, Major Peel earned and enjoyed the highest respect and confidence of all United States officers with whom he had contact. Through his exceptional ability, high integrity and complete fair mindedness, Major Peel both ably represented his own country and contributed immeasurably to the objectives of the Combined Munitions Assignments Boards in achieving an equitable distribution of ground material as between British Forces and the Forces of the Allied Nations.
