"Major Wight-Boycott took over command of 1 Forward Observation Unit when the unit was first formed in June 1944. He was entirely responsible for the forming and training of this unit and for its effective results. He was the Liaison Officer with 30 Corps during Arnhem and gave considerable assistance in arranging artillery support. Since arriving in Norway he has been performing the duties of Deputy Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster General and has attained the highest degree of efficiency with excellent results. His service since joining the Division in June 1944 has been outstanding."
