Biography

Sadiq Ullah Kjan Orakzai was born on January 7th, 1910 at Bana Mari, presently incorporated in Peshawar, Pakistan. He graduated from Islamia College in Peshawar in 1928 and joined the Guides Infantry in 1932. He joined the British-Indian Army in 1936. In 1938 he graduated from Indian Military College in Dehra Dun. After the partition of British India in India and Pakistan, Sadiq Ullah Kjan Orakzai became a Pakistan national citizen. In 1947 he entered service with the Pakistan army and was promkoted to Brigadier within three years.
He serveds as Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC) in western Pakistan from 1955 to 1958 and from 1963 tot 1964. He retired in 1964.
Sadiq Ullah Kjan Orakzai passed away May 2nd. 2009.
