Forbuss (39727353), Sergeant, Infantry, Company B, 119th Infantry Regiment, for extraordinary heroism in action on 14 January 1945, in the province of Liège inBelgium.

When an extremely heavy volume of enemy fire wounded a machine gunner and forced him to abandon his weapon, Sergeant Forbuss crawled through a terrific hail of fire to recover the gun. Ignoring the intense enemy activity, he operated the weapon against the Germans and neutralized several of their positions. After expending his machine gun ammunition, he killed two of the enemy with his rifle. The courage and ability of Sergeant Forbuss, which permitted his company to advance, were in keeping with the finest military traditions.
