Biography

John Lindsay Sloan finally reached the rank of First Leutenant. He achieved a total of 61 missions and was shot down in France. He returned to his forces with the help of the French underground.

After the war, he returned to school and received a master's degree in mathematics. He worked as an actuary and a college professor and he was a Bible scholar and a Sunday School teacher. He also campaigned in the Dixiecrat party, to elect Strom Thurman.

John Sloan was the father of 5 children, one of his son's later became an Air Force officer as well.
