“Oberst Kurt Heyser tied down strong enemy forces with his air landed Infanterie-Regiment. Due to the lack of contact with his Division, this was an action that he executed totally independently. Despite being wounded twice in the process he retained command over his Regiment and demonstrated great personal bravery in the battle.”
