Thomas Edward Barnes was son to Joseph Barnes and Mary Ellen Barnes. he was married to Gladys Grace Barnes. Before the Second World War he received the Air Force Medal (March 1st, 1938). He served as Pilot with the rank of Sergeant in No. 114 Squadron.
