Biography

Jan Dirk van Bilderbeek was student in dentistry and member of the resistance. He was caught by the Germans at Dubbeldam in January 1945, while attempting to cross the rivers towards a liberated part of the Netherlands. He was transported to Dordrecht and later placed in the Oranjehotel prison in Scheveningen. He was executed at the Waalsdorpervlakte on February 17th, 1945
