Biography

Jacob van der Ende lived in Vlaardingen at Emmastraat 8. He was born on August 4th, 1918, to Jacob van der Ende and Margaretha Johanna van der Ende-van de Linden. He was unmarried, worked as a painter, and was a member of the resistance, belonging to the Geuzen (DeGeuzen). On November 28th, 1940, he was arrested in his hometown and sentenced to four years in prison and the death penalty during the Geuzen trial in The Hague on March 4th, 1941. He was executed on March 13th, 1941, at the Waalsdorpervlakte.
